i recently learned from MSI that Nvidia no more support AMD motherboards and will no more allow new motherboards with nvidia chipsets on AMD sockets (AM3)
the last mobos with Nvidia GFX chips(nforce 750/780/980) or using the Lucid Hydra (870A fuzion ) have all 1 or 2 x pcie express slots here in europa but....i just recently have discover the last 3pcie slots dinosaure :the MSI NF980-G65 ,it seem to be reserved to the rest of the world, is quite a bit old now, with its production stopped some weeks ago....but i wasnt abble to resist and after some hunting i finally found one oem in import from USA via the UK
not that i wasnt satisfed by the fusion one but i was quite frustrated to not use the integrated chipset for the physx as i was used to do on my previous mobos
and in fact i just wanted to test the fuzion process, i must tell that it work like a charm and it s one of the best alternative to nvidia's behaviour, the cheat to use a pure sli on a AMD chipset/mobo work perfectly too...but...now i want to compare that with a true nvidia chipset/mobo....i ll post some results asap
normally it should arrive this week...hard tiling made wife happy...wife happy = allowed pc experiences! muhahaha
...btw i ll have a 870A fuzion for sale, i ll put it on Ebay in ~7 days
lol...it seem that nvidia dont need to provide new chips to support their GFXon amd mobos....because new AMD chipsets are now able to do it does it mean that it will allow users to run eyefinity + physx? if yes it could be nice :)
