Here's a collection of 34 Hubble images for mappers to use in their maps!
Textures are generated from the higest rez pics on hubblesite.org so they should enlarge with no visual problems in-game. Almost all textures are 2048x2048 in size with the occasional one being 1024x1024!
JPG instructions included in each pack so you can easily get the material setup!
All you need to do is import them, create the material as specified by my instructions. Then apply them to a fogsheet (EngineVolumetrics package) and make the fogsheet of a size of probably 60-100+
I still need to work on the colour saturation so the finished products will be slightly different in colour. 7 are pictured but a couple more will probably make it in.
wow wow wow....superb ! cant wait to see all that ingame :)
edit : i m looking for something like the red one for hirax ;i was thinking to ask to remus where he found his "red" one in singularity but this one kick arse more :)

If you have a starry sky backdrop then you should be able to!
I've just finished scanning the hubblesite gallery for workable pics. There may be as many as 20 pics in this pack. Otherwise I'll split it into 2 seperate packs.
No probs! I'll make it one pack. Be warned though. The pack will probably blow over 100meg, possibly hitting 200meg. 100+meg of hubble goodness though!
At a guess 28-30 pics all up. Final number depends on wether they can be photoshopped to look OK in the game.
I've gone for high rez pics for all images and will resize them down to 2048 for in-game assets. I've tried avoiding any original jpg's that are under 1meg in size! Like before there will be instructions for all images.
NOTE: There is a couple of lower rez pics, which I've picked cuz they're some of my favourite huubble pics. Hopefully they can be manipulated to work.
Also I managed to find a another red pic or two for Bl!tz..hopefully they can be photoshopped to work OK in-game!
Unfortunately the pack won't be ready today. It's taking longer to photoshop the pics than what I first thought. Should be sometime tomorrow night (30hrs time)
Pack is ready now. It's comes in at 87meg compressed and expands out to 300meg. There are 27 textures all up! There's only one set of instructions as they work for all materials. Images included are the ones shown in the above posts! (or check 1st post to see all of them in one hit)
just for the info the first preview pict in the second pack dont display here on windows photogallery and on photoshop only a stretched pict; not really important though...and perhaps it s just me
Let me know if you have issues with them working ingame. Seeing the 1st pack is rather small I'll combine them then upload a complete pack and remove the other 2.
EDIT: Complete pack up now. Grab from 1st post...or here: File Factory

yer...I have nothing better to do than waste peeps time n bandthwidth...heh heh heh Maybe I should start taking Bt!tz's old man pills to keep me in line!
Are you Canadians ripped off like us Auzzies where you have a download quota each month (and you get capped to 6k a sec if you blow it) or are you unlimited over there?
I've re-upped the pack as it now contains an index pic that has a pic and filename for each image to make it easier to select your picture. I'll update the DL link on the first post Thanx to Odedge for suggesting this!!
Anyway to save you redownloading the pack here's the image;
Hi mate, I just downloaded this pack and it does contain some really nice textures
Just 2 notes, First of all the download link is not working anymore. On epic forums there is a working one. Secondly I noticed that moste .tga files have an unused alpha channel. This additional channel have a significant impact on the file size, if you them you can save -25% MB per texture :)
