I have a retail copy of UT3 which I have added to my steam games. For some reason I cannot login to my UT3 account to play it online. Could this be an issue with the Gamespy account and is there a fix available if this is the case? Alternatively should I just delete the game from all directories and purchase again through Steam? If I was to purchase again through Steam will it work online?
Also Im a bit frustrated with the fact that there is a new Unreal Engine (4) in the works and no news of any new Unreal games. Why GOD Why?!?
yo mate, imo u should try to delete the game from both directories (mydocuments and where u installed it) then do a clean re install and if your serial number dont work i would contact Flak on Epics forum....there s no reason to not get it working! for the UE4....yeah it seem they decided to "launch" the new engine without a new opus of the serie....did they decide to suicide the game and the community? it seem they do !....+.+
Just a warning about the steam versions Gnrl! If you change gametypes in Multiplayer maps the server may need to quit the game then log off steam and back on before you can play a different gametype. Admittidly I'm supposed to be doing testing for Flak to nail down why it could be occurring...oops. I better get onto that. :x
Aside from that I have done the same thing with my UT3 install and don't have any login issues with it.

Thank you both for your responses. I shall delete UT3 from both directories and reinstall from the CD and download the patches. My current UT3 was downloaded through Steam but using my retail CD key. Not sure if that could be creating a conflict?
I'd start by deleting all the files in the 'config' directory and re-testing, before you delete the entire install. Hopefully it was just a setting in there causing the issue.
