You can play on lan which is awesome! / like the good old days.. / if ya get it buy it from perfect world though and not steam that way you don't need to deal with steams BS always online / play offline / steam inferface / whatever. Its not really a Diablo rip off since the developer(s) actually used to work for Blizzard; they bailed because they didn't like the direction that Bilzzard was heading with their persistent online DRM (masquerading under the guise of an enhanced feature for players) nonsense.
It's a well thought and polished game but I had a couple of dislikes about it:
1. Ridiculously short. In two days I got to level 71 on veteran difficulty, half way through a second time on NG+ playing solo. I don't feel like there's much left in the game for me, NG+ is exactly the same so far as the first time through. Same quests, similar areas, same dungeons and bosses and I haven't had any decent gear that really works well for my specific character and build.
2. Not enough mana. The game gives me all these cool abiliies to unlock and use, but most of them cost so much mana and my mana pool is so tiny I can barely afford to keep one of them active most of the time. I feel like my character can only realize about 1/4 of his true damage potential, and I find that frustrating.
Winter Dragon, I haven't played it my self, my kids play it with my wife though, seems like they've really had a blast.
I see what you mean though, too bad they didn't use a random dungeon generator - I'd hope that different character classes might make it more interesting, also IMO on games such as this for replay value they should include multiple outcomes depending on paths chosen for replay value. (sorry I missed your reply)

A friend of mine gifted this to me on Steam. I may have to try it now based on the screenshots. I bet my kids would like it too.
