I have started the campain of Black Mesa, It's a mod (total conversion) of the first opus Half-Life with the Source Engine of Half-Life 2.

There still some BV or animations bugs here and there but it's an AMAZING & STRONG work !

It's free, you just need a Steam acount and the Source Sdk Base 2007 (free DL too, just go on your steam page, and find it on the "tool" menu).

Yeah, I saw they release it for free but didn't found a DL link lol

I restarted another HL1 game, I was feeling nostalgic héhé :D

yeah i played the campain a couple of hours and i like a lot what they ve done here...especially the athmosphere and the sounds/music part...i m a lil desapointed by the gfx side, not as impressive as expected...

Ya it's a very well done remake! My hat off to the devs!
Regarding the gfx side unfortunately that's due to the aging Source engine. :(

 Yes, it's based on the Source code 2007, it would has been better on the last version, but still decent look IMO.

That said, I always found the Valve Source Engine a bit under the others engines regarding the gfx side, but it was impressive and brilliant with the use of physic when they released HL2.
