[rant] Concerning CoD, I only liked the first few. They were fun, prefer 1 over every other though, because it had a health bar, even though 2 had a much prettier soundtrack. Later it was obvious for me, it's just for the money now, there is barely any love left, so much action that I'm yawning and am totally not impressed by that because I saw that dozens of times in modern games and honestly, if someone were to show me BO1, BO2, MW3, etc, I couldn't differenciate them. Bulletstorm had loads of action too, but it was often unexpected and you had nice peaceful passages of just adrenaline filled killing, it was unique, innovative, sarcastic. They said BO2 will be in the future iIrc, they could have put it a bit more in the future than just lousy 8 years or so... What about like... 20 years? Then they would have some more freedom and could think of better scenarios for their game, I don't say put it in the future for laserguns because that is NOT CoD, but they can then do something without that we will say "he, look at that, that totally didn't happen!". It's a problem I also have with old sci-fi movies settled in 2020 for example - totally not what we have right now and what we will have in that short time. Concerning CoD, maybe I'm just tired of the overly huge seriousness in modern games (talking about campaign here, not about zombie mode) and that everything has to do with military, or Afghanistan, or the US being attacked, or Afghanistan, or terrorists - and that they seem to use the games a bit as propaganda showing "we are the best" by now. Well, Duty Calls, just saying. [/rant]
I feel like such an outsider because I am so uninterested in the series now and because I critisize it that much. :-(
