I've been playing ut3/mapping for some time now and I've never had trouble with directional lights working before but I have a problem I was wondering if someone here could assist me with. Bl!tz directed me to these forums because he didn't know the answer.
I have a directional light that is working only when the lighting needs to be rebuilt. Once I bake it goes away and is as if it isn't even there. Does anyone know why my directional light might not bake?
Well, be careful with Directional Lights not to use to many of them & also set the lights channels accordingly.
Make sure the angle (movement section in the properties actor) are NOT the same as another one that as a higher brightness value or else you won't see any difference after baking & will consume more resources for nothing.
If you use a specific channel in the Directional light, make sure the assets (BSP+SM) have that specific lighting channel activated.
Hope it help

Hmm, thanks for the advice guys. I'll check the lighting channels and the mesh properties when I get home. There is only 1 directional light in the whole map (the sun) and it is additive.
