For those who don't know me, my full name is Steve Loiselle born April 1st 1972. I'm from Montreal, Canada. I'm a computer specialist. I'm what you can call a help desk person who touch both hardware / software aspect in our corporate environment.
Stevelois is my first Internet username I started to use years ago & since I register on every website with that name when it's possible. I don't give a damn about virtual names since it doesn't worth or represent anything so I choose something short & practical to log fast.
For activities, I practice Tai-Chi (Taoiste style) since 2000 & Latin dance since 2001. I do like swimming & walking. I have a preferences for sci-fi movies, kung-fu movies & old comic French movies.
About UT, I still play with UT99 & 2004. I've been helping a lot of folks working on there UT projects since years. A lot of folks call me uncle since a lot of mappers are relatively young (18-25) & others call me "bro"
Here is a pic of me taken at Ottawa in August 2011:
This is what my audio/vidéo living room look like :
In those pics, you can see my 40" Sharp Aquos Quattron 3D in the center. On the left is my audio system (Rotel hi-fi brand) along the most famous international DJ tuntable the Technics MKII SL1200 + the PS3 slim & on the right, my good old data storage WinXP tower with my Viewsonic gamer monitor.
You can also see I have a few CD's in the first pic (±400) & all vinyls (± 600) with some of my DVD's The speakers are custom made.
I'm happy to be registered on this forum & to be a part of this a huge bunch of sympatic farts

Hey Uncle...why hasn't old man Bl!tz made a info page for himself? Is he too scared to reveal his age!
Good to see fellow IT techie in here! You've got a few years up on me though. (I'm 32)
I'm also a techie and work for TAFE SA, Panorama campus here in South Auzzie. Fortunately I'm 2nd level so I don't have to answer phones.
Do you do 1st and 2nd level support or do you avoid the phone as much as possible.

Well, to explain a bit more, I work for Hydro-Quebec, it's a huge company (23 000 employees). They are in the electricity domain (hydro, nuclear, etc).
I'm the first physical contact from the client which we are call "S1" (support level 1). There is also S2 & S3 which are more dedicated to troubleshooting. So when the client have a prob, he call the support number (which is not me since it's not the remote contact), they open a ticket, if they can't finalize the call, they ship us the ticket & we do the job. Itcan be anything, software & hardare related. Sometime, clients call us directly instead of contacting the remote support service but I can't do anything & forward them to the remote support, I say to them that I need a ticket.

...was so nice to meet them ; it prooved to me that the childhood have no limits:)
damn if all the support guys can be as friendly as you and mick !....it s often hell here to connect anykind of support and it takes hours and hours :(
yeah i ll ask thoses old farts to come to post lol i play them often and they ant forums addict; they both played some of "our" maps and big al was a big fan of station12( did the betatesting online with him for you before final release)
i will do samekind of post as you it s nice to share RL things;thx to have show the way :)
I noticed right away that Steve always encouraged people on the epic forums, (even poeple with less than average work) then once he gets to know a you little better - and realize you have some skillz >whap< watch he transforms on you like a vicious pet viper into one of the judges at the world olympics. LMAO
Don't get me wrong (unless you have a fragile skin) this is actually a good thing.
Well met Uncle.
footnote: A while back i mentioned Steve in my first official release in the initial post with out knowing him very well, but only because of seeing how he always try to encourage others, (of my own volition i did this) then after i get to know him a bit better he threaten to take a shotgun to me if i don't ad him to credits next time he offer input. hahahaha

It's funny because I didn't check back this thread since my last post few days ago. Sorry for this very late post :(
I just notice before posting here that you also post on my station12 map, which I also post something lol
First post I've read from you on Epic, I knew that you where a sympatic guy. When I made my post about your Football map, I was only trying to help but you know that now anyway. I didn't like your answer so that is why I've send you a PM without changing my text.
I don't want to trow flowers at me & I'm not a saint neither, but I know my qualities / default & 2 of my qualities is to be patient & respectful. So, before I loose my patient, you better do some really bad things. Saying jokes & teasing me won't make me loose my patient, in fact, if we can have a good laugh, it doesn't bother me to be "the victim" LOL if it's done with respect ofc ;) The day someone don't respect me or don't appreciate what I do for him, he's on the black list.
TBH, I don't know how many hours I spend on feedback since all those years. I also help a lot in private & also on MSN when that damn thing work as is supposed to work ! Since I map, I help a bit less now but I still do it nonetheless & I'm happy others can see it :)

Of course cousin, it's on the pipe, just have let a bit the last touch on it to try to optimise my double powerup seq ;)

Indeed, it's my first CTF. But since I play CTF since few years, I'm familiar with the strategics aspect & the timing of this game type. Also, the majority of CTF maps don't have wide open space (for several reasons) & most of them don't expose the players to outside danger (like trowing them ) which I want to provide.
I like to use a safe (coward lol) paths but in this case, nothing to collect (no risk = no reward). I like to use more dangerous paths but in this case, with goodies to collect (medium risk = medium reward like armors, weapon, health & ammo). I like to collect powerups or great goodies on "x" "y" "z" spots (high risk / strategics moves = high reward).
That is my phylosophie & the map is build from the ground up with those guide lines.
I don't expect the diehard / competitive CTF players to be thrilled BUT for most of casual CTF players as I am, it will be damn fun :D
BTW, thx for posting on my homepage & using the same name so I know it's you ;)

I'm also surprised Yarith didn't make it in. I personally thought it was the best map of the latest CBP. Admittidly Kami is probably my fav mapper from the Epic forums. All of his maps are top notch...anyways...enough praising someone else on Steve's thread....
Well, if I remember correctly, only the first 5 winner win something (hardware or $$$).
But as Lord mention, since I use only stock stuff & I'm an amateur, it's quite pleasing :D
@blitz, I don't know mate if it's about version x-y-z but they supposed to play with the maps & not just look at them so if a map have plenty of bugs, it will loose some points for sure.

Wow... You pull off the polo look quite well... For some reason I imagined you to look older (No offense) I also imagined you with black hair (For no apparent reason) I just might go and show a pic of myself.... Now all I need is a picture of myself...Damn Where to look... I have no freaking idea if I have any pics in last five years. The latest picture of myself is when I was 13 or 14 (Maybe 15) eating a piece of a cinnamon roll.

Nice TV I'll wait until (full) HD (I prefer full HD, the difference to regular HD is actually quite big imo) 3D television without glasses is fleshed out before I buy one though.
PS: Too bad there are just some free HD television programs in Germany that I can watch with my TV and receive with my receiver. Normal resolution on a full HD TV looks quite pixelated and sometimes blurry

THX cousin, indeed, I like when everything is clean :D
@Sly
HDTV is there & you can enjoy it right away with Blu-ray movies or upcoming PS3 games.
AFAIK, all HD broadcasters use a very high compression algorythm so indeed, you don't get true HD in all case no matter what HDTV you use. You will have 1080p rez but the bandwith is rather poor, like 1.5-2 MB/s instead of ±5 MB/s like a Blu-ray movie.
3D is just a goodies for me since I buy my stuff & keep it many years, there was only 200$ difference for the regular 2D models. The next gen pannels will be true 3D, glasses won't be necessary since the tech will be implement in the pannel itself but they are not affordable at the moment & still in dev.
