Two ways to do it; First is to use a fogsheet than go into "FX_Lensflares" and add a lens flare material to it.
Second is to add a lensflare source to ya map. Go into "FX_Lensflares" (making sure that you can see 'lens flare' objects) and find the one you want. The lens flares are contained within yellow boxes and have a red triangle in one corner.
I tried the first option and worked well. Hopefully this will make the sun look a bit better (in addition to the other stuff I did) so Steve won't think my sky dome is so naked.
I'm using some lens flares in my map CTF-Eternity, used Stevelois method of duplicating Epic content to your own package and then I could make the changes I wanted from there.

Good info.
You made me smile mate on that
It will add something more for sure

Had to dig out this thread. I'm currently trying to add a lens flare to my sun but the size is way too small, the lens flare is only as big as the sun. I use the LensFlareSource method since the other one didn't seem to work as I wanted it to and scaling up the Drawscale only changes the Emitter symbol, increasing the values in Scale in PrimitiveComponent doesn't seem to do anything. Any ideas? I couldn't find anything on the internet.
I'd be thankful if anybody had a good tutorial on emitters as well, things changed, adding an emitter directly into the map doesn't seem to work like back then and I heard the method of creating it through the properties window isn't possible anymore.
I haven't sorted out all inner workings of lens flares but you can bring up the Lens Flare Editor by going inside the Properties window and under >LensFlareSource >LensFlareComponent >Template > click on the magnifying glass to bring up the generic browser, by opening the flare that should expose the editor with all of properties. Just a matter of playing around a little.
If you can't find it that way, one can always create it in the geneic browser by selecting "New LensFlare" and building from scratch.
