something interresting i was suspecting and i just have verify it: new UT dont like SLI each bench shows the GTX670 in SLI leading on one single GTX 780.....except UT for example on outpost: with the sli ,even with all setting on "high" and no AA i was having big drop down and fps wasnt nice....now all on "Epic" & with AA.... all is running very smoth, stable , fluid and FPS very high i bet they re going to optimise the game for the SLI ... for now it s not top ...i was telling to me that the game was nice but wow on Epic setting with AA it s one step higher, very impressive
That's something you might want to report in the QA section of the UT forums. I'm sure they would like to hear about that.
i just noticed that it s exactly the same with Crysis and more funny 3DM firestrike, highest FPS with the SLI from time to time but big drop downs in add from time to time 2.
one card give more linear results, i can play all the crysis serie on ultra and FPS still over 60 all along with but ...no peaks over 100
, 2x 670 will jump from 15 to 150 FPS... something that seriously remind me my ping fluctuations....lol ^^
I agree on Face there! It looks like a cute mix of the original Face, Face][ interiors, Face3's skybox and UT3 Face's asteroids!
It drives me nuts I can't give it a go. My mainboard died a month ago and I'm on a PC built from some scrap parts into which I plugged my graphics card (just so I have one) and a USB stick as a *cough* "HDD" with Xubuntu as an OS (luckily I made that stick a long time ago or I'd be a PC-hobo now). So yeah, I'm on a USB stick right now and it's depressing to know that I get along with this better and am more relaxed with handling my PC than when I was on my HDD with Windows...
What always bothered me is that approach of locking the view to mouse movement. Move your head around and it functions like your mouse - for a shooter like UT this would be cruel, so I wondered: Is mouse movement overwritten by head movement or can headmovement be disabled or even detached from your crosshair/aiming?
damn... i thought u had to stand up to use this.....lol....my son just explained to me how it works ..it seems to work like a " headset"where video is the theme..and now yup....i join Sly. in his questions + a special one is it still possible to "wear" an audio headset with this ?
As far as I know, you have the headset as a separate device and have to wear your own headphones, so wearing a headset should be no problem. Needs to be confirmed though since I don't own one myself! Just don't recall seeing any audio output on those.
WASD keys control walking and both the headset and mouse control look movement. The headset is like muted/less sensitive mouse movement. eg.. large movements are controlled by the mouse and smaller, finer movements are better with the headset. As you technically control the crosshair where ever you look is where you're aiming. For my tastes is a very nice mix with control schemes.

Good to know, although I wonder how well it would work to have independent head movement from weapon/crosshair via VR headset and body rotation (and thus crosshair aiming) via mouse.
