I didn't play it (yet), my main reason why, is that it (as far as I know) requires Steam, Origin and YouPlay (or however that was called), it's at least one layer of DRM too much. From a review I saw it has a playtime of about 5h and barely sidequests though, but is full of gags and 80s charme.
I would like to know some first hand experience from trusted people as well.

I've played the first few levels so far.
Very good for a laugh and the gameplay isn't too bad! They've done the 80's/early 90's cut scenes perfectly!
The opening helicopter sequence is quite good.
No problems with gfx or saves for me Seb.
I can't comment too much on the overall gameplay as I've only played the first couple of levels.
There's one area early on where you have these large beasts which you have to sneak past and then can use bait to lure them into an enemy compound to create some havok so there might be some variety in gameplay.
Regarding longetivity, being a Single Player game in nature, it may be a play once and put down scenerio depending on how much you enjoyed playing it the first time through.
I know the feeling. I got Skyrim: Legendary Edition running with the 1st 170 mods from the S.T.E.P. site.
Looks fantastic, but I may need more system memory though as I'm getting the occasional out of memory problem... :(
