Anyone got it yet?  I pre-ordered and have only started it for a quick run to see how it looks and runs!

The reviews have been generally positive with complaints about things that have kind of been issues throughout all the Crysis series. ...but I'm an eyecandy man so I'll be in my element! aww

Apparently it will give vid cards a good run for their money! wink

Looks superb running with everything set to Very High.  I've set AA to FXAA and the framerate seems pretty good(well perfectly playable I should say).  I might go a bit crazy and try one of the other higher AA settings to see how it goes!

Gunna have to convince the boss(wife) to let me give it a good run! wink

Better use SMAA (t2x), this is a PostProcess effect too but looks much better than FXAA (blurry³) and is running faster than 'real' MSAA.

Does Crysis 3 require origin?

Cheers for the heads up on the AA setting.  I may actually be using that now.  The higher settings stutter somewhat so I took them back to what I reckon you've mentioned.

Yes..it requires Origin. bleh

I reached the overgrown city part late last night...yes, this game is veeeeeeeeeeery pretty!! The first overgrown area you see is visually one of the best levels I've ever seen! Screenshots just don't do it justice.

There's some fantastic quality textures in the game. When you look at light sources you can see scuff and smudge marks on your goggles. Little things like that sure are a treat to see when you first notice them!

My hat off to Crytek for the visuals on this game! Admittidly I have craved more enemies. There's some nice open areas that are screaming for some kind of 'hunt' gametype where you have say 50 AI enemy soldiers that you have to pick off. Like an old Veitnam game I used to play.

I'm running with everything set to Very High and the AA set to SMAA(MGPU 2x) with which I occasionally see some stuttering every now and then, but it's never affected my ability to play the game.

All in all I'm rather impressed and it's a sight for sore eyes after getting jipped by Gearbox with Aliens Colonial Marines!

I purchased an Origin Key from the UK(half price compared to our prices). Was a 10gig download which I kicked off before I went to work...then came home to find it ready to play! biggrin
