just to add a pict to slys words and to be sure u didnt miss it :select all the surfaces u want to align, open the surface properties window and chose here the way u want to align it...
it work for surfaces(floors and ceilings) even if they are not 0°(horizontal) or 90° (perpendicular)angled:inclined @ 10° or whatever angle u choosed ....but... like u suggested it u ll probably have to adjust lateral surfaces manually (if there s a automatic way to do it i didnt find it)....perhaps anotha Xmas if someone know the trick
u ll have to tweak one of the scaling value if u align "unperpendicular" angled surfaces to bybass the angle deformation...
i used this ages ago on my flux map so my memory cant be a lil bugged....lol^^
Is there any option within UE3 that kind of auto-aligns materials? Like if you select all edges of a brush that it auto-aligns itself to it.
Here are 2 examples:
I have these neat trims on my floors with stripes over it, but since my map is full of these BSP floors with trims, it should take another 2 weeks before having them aligned all perfectly.
This is how it should be, but by hand in Brush Properties:
I might be a noob for asking this, but if its known how, please tell me (A)
Brush properties? *confused* Don't you mean surface properties?
Right-click on one surface of brush -> Select -> Select Surface Matching Brush (in this case maybe Select Surface Matching Texture/Material) -> Open the surface properties with right-click -> Surface Properties -> In the window you will find "Alignment", try out the different setting like Box and Planar. The algorithm of these functions are not suited for everything and "Face" is indeed totally useless as it is just a mess, but it does a lot already. The rest has to be done by hand.

Couldnt remember the exact name again lol ;p
Thanks Sly. The "Select Surface Matching Texture" helped alot.. just the alignment itself not :( Well I guess ill just have to do that by hand then..
