There is little problem with the sea. When i use Ut2004 32 bit, the sea color is like in UnrealEd. But, when i use Ut2004 patch 64 bit, the sea is very more darky. Have you any idea why ?
no real idea, but i gave this 64 bits version several trys and i had no gain but only problems with it, some transparences or opacity where it shouldnt be (double damage amp is a good example) i neva saw any fix for thoses visuals differences... this 64 bits patching look like a farce to me, i saw some benching prooving that it give a few fps more but honnestly appart if u re using a very "low" pc u ll never notice it in game as every pc from today can handdle ut2k4 like a ballerina dunno if it impact the ed, never tryed tbh but...mapping with this could be risky as u ll set things for the 64b visuals, it mean that peeps using the 32 b version (99.9% of ut2k4 users) are perhaps going to see something different than what u ve build tell us about ur try and finding please, i always asked me why they ve build this 64b patch
You're becoming better with each map! The idea of using the floor static mesh from the Abaddon package as arches is one of the most creative one's I've seen so far. I rarely see people use floor static meshes for other things than... floor.
Mb i should, because xFire (i used it for the video record) stopped working with ut2004 since i patched for win64. Sometime, i can use it, but it's only by chance. I don't understand how i could do.
...wow....i m impressed how eyecandy this is ...u re mastering that "old" engine + now i know on what engine it immediatly comes to me instagib and zark fights...cant wait to try this and install it on our lil french server

Hey Heimdallr, looks really great! I'm still working on the yellow textures (lol, real life can be so annoying) but they should be done soon so I can send you some of those you wanted in each colour for your map.
Good thing that my map (and that Tron2.0 tribute map) could inspire you to do one as well!

Sounds like you want him to give up mapping for UT2004.
UT2004 is in about the same misery as UT3, and since he is one of the few remaining known mappers (as a side note: UT3 has more people mapping) it would be counterproductive for UT2004. He can still convert his maps with UT3 converter if he wants to or allow others to.
I don't know, if it is a good idea to convert the map into UT3. Because, the both game don't have the same game play. I suppose, that need a little arrangement. I saw some good UT 2004 map which converted in UT3. The result is very under (like VCFT-APA_REDROOM)
@ stevelois : why no map in UT3 ? Because, i don't use UT3 yet and i can't use it the UnrealEd. When i see your works and others, I wanna try. But, I build some map in UT2k4 because i play at the game. I already tried UT3 and stopped playing. I don't find the same gameplay than UT2k4. I don't why, I am little bit disappointed. Mb, I'll try again.
Nota : Sly. One thing, I've never wrotte any copyright for my maps. If someone wanna use one of my maps to make another or convert them. They can. I just ask to send me their work, only i could see what they make.
Ah, ok. I'm not the conversion dude and never tried UT3 Converter myself, but maybe someone will do that. Actually, maps do not need much adjusting, in most cases they don't even need any adjusting at all, only if they make use of dodge-ramps (because they don't work in UT3 because jumping and dodging is just "messed up" imo).
If you ever get into UT3 mapping, be sure not to give up mapping for UT2004, the game needs it.

The wood is Hourrance's texture. it's very pretty good. Mb the only one. I dunno why the other are a little bit crappy for detail. Mb i failed something. I use his steel texture but result is middling. The texture has too much noise.
