just tryed the first and this time i like it; comfortable with controls immediatly and what a fun to send thoses wookies in the air +the star wars athmo...nice game
I played through this one @ xbox. I don't have xbox myself so it took a while getting used to the controller. All in all, it was a letdown for me, it was quite fun but nowhere near my expectations.
A year later or so they ported it to PC, decided to play it again and wow it was amazingly crappy on PC. The first level was barely playable due to lag and then the game just freezed on some places -.-.
I'd probably rate it to 5.5/10, mainly because the story is pretty good. However, Jedi Knight 3 Jedi Academy is THE star wars game!
That game was made here in Australia(in Queensland) if I recall correctly. The company that made it has an Adelaide office, and my mates Mum knows one of the managers so she gave me his card. So if I want a door into the gaming industry in the future I know where to start.
Give them a slap from me, for doing such a god awful port to PC! :D
u re a bit hard; i know i spend 99% of my time on UT but i wasnt so horrified by this one; it quite an "old" game now and visually i found it more than decent! for the controls and the gameplay i liked the small part that i have play but i m probably a weird guy...i was very disapointed by succesful games like mass effect2 and was never abble to addapt to the controls and to all thoses interactive questions (i recently played UTII the awakening...10 yrs old and i found it more fun than ME2...even the GFX was impressing me for such an old game) i ll have to play a cups of hours more that star wars game to see by myself if it s so bad...but honnestly the first hour unda dark vador skin was very fun

Well, the game isn't exactly new and I have a more than decent computer. I was barely able to play the first map (the one you play as Darth Vader).
Mass Effect 2 on the other hand might be one of my all time favorite games. I didn't enjoy Mass Effect 1 that much though.
u mean that ur pc was in pain to handle it???!?...weird i had it from a friend with a macbook pro (not a so powerfull one) and even on that mac it was playing tip top with all settings at maxi
computers are so mysterious sometime...lol....even now i m not abble to play halo2 on my pc; which isnt a crap one too haha ^^

The funny thing about this game is that Lucasarts said that they wouldn't be releasing it for PC a couple of years ago, seriously disappointing fans / (peeps like me) now i've lost interest after watching my sons beat the game on the 360 a few times.
I wouldn't have minded getting my hands on it 2 years ago when it was supposed to be originally released for the PC, then they played those Jedi mind tricks and i lost interest .. I'm kind of in the same boat with Blizzard due to the lack of LAN support for StarCraft II. (I simply don't have the bandwidth to stay connected to battlenet to play, my connection regularly desyncs, otherwise i'd buy several copies and play it on LAN for the next 2 or 3 years if it supported LAN)
- As far as the excuse of piracy (as lucasarts claimed when it announced that it wouldn't develop Force Unleashed for the PC) - IMO these type of shenanigans in PC game development are usually to boost console sales up then they resort to the PC after their done milking the console profits for all they're worth. Don't be surprised if Epic eventually releases Gears2 for the PC.
Glad to hear some positive input about this game though .. -- its strictly single player on the PC right? or is there a multiplayer?

the comments are especially funny. (some very true too)
Yeah i remember this game because i was following it closely and thinking of insanely awesome it looked, (Digital Molecular Matter graphics engine) especially if ya like Star wars in the first place.

I haven't tried the game myself. I've osrta been dissapointed by most StarWars games since the Dark Forces era. I really liked the Dark Forces games and most since just don't seem to feel as exciting as them ones.
Great singleplayer with some very impressive levels for that time, especially the one we're your in some cave with shiny blue crystals and stuff like that!
Multiplayer is pretty damn awesome aswell, not so fun if you allow other weapons than the lightsaber though.
Can't remember if I played Acadamy. Although now I remember I was a good fan of KOTOR 1 n 2. Bioware are one of those companies that seem to always do a pretty good job on their projects! I like a good RPG!
