P.S. i realize we have private message but some things need to be discussed at group level among the UOF IMO.
OK i thought about this some more, and even though there haven't been any replies and even though were all a nice honest bunch and have nothing to hide, it really has nothing to do with that, but more to do with the fact that most organized groups have a members only or private area, or some type of membership has its perks etc.
I'll give you an example, i want to invite "such & such" from the epic forums, but sometimes he seems a little immature or says rude things what do you guys think should i invite them? ((that might be 1 appropriate question in a members only passworded section of our forums))
Or i we might decide to work on a UOF map pack as i've mentioned to Bl!tz & Nova here in the past week or so, a private area for this would work well for such a surprise to the community, etc. First they had HOLP, then CBP, now UOF kicks out a nice little pack once in a while....
I need some feedback on this idea about the private forum guys. TIA.

Speaking for me, TBH, UOF forums is a very small forums & it's always the same who post & invite other members from other forums. It already feel like a "restricted" or very "low trafic" place so there is no need to add a "more secure" aspect.
I do understand what your aiming for but I truly think it's overkill for ther needs.

I + one that this forum is small, tiny and getting invite is restricted so no need for a private area but is was a good idea if the the site was a busy one.
no problems for me ; it can be usefull...or not....and if it isnt it ll not cost any money to remove it...haha^^ feel free to do it mate; btw there s an admin section, never have use it :p but it still here

Thank you!
Note from Odedge: While I may be overstepping my boundry, we shouldn't talk about other mappers like this, especially in the public sections. If you have issues with people being added to the forums (and I can understand this), I think you should run it across Blitz since he is the "daddy" of this forum (unless I am mistaken).

Note from Odedge: Lord_PS, don't take my edit personally. I am just being consistent with my edit of Thrallala's post about not talking about other mappers like this, especially in a public forum. See the previous post for more info. -- Edited by Odedge on Friday 18th of December 2009 08:07:13 AM

Just to clearly inform Thrallala and Lord_PS, I edited your last posts to "encourage" any of us not to talk about mappers like this, especially in public forums. If any of us have issues about inviting or allowing others into the group/forum, it seems like this should be discussed in PMs and brought to Blitz's attention since he is the "daddy" of the forum.
If I am overstepping my boundry, I apologize, I am just doing this for the sake of the group.

i m sure we all can understand how it s good to free the pressure sometimes with a lethal post...so....no probs...lets try to keep postcontrol...muhaha ;)
No probs guys! I should have had more restraint like I usually do. In this case I couldn't help myself as one of the peeps that Thrall mentioned I had been thinkin this for a while now. The fact his comments reflected my thoughts spurred me to comment. Never fear though...I will be more appropiate/tactful in the future!

Ironically enough, I agree with you guys as well. But there is always a time and especially a place for this stuff.
