Um I don't remember what it was on your map. It was probably in the 30-40's though. I don't really mind the frame rate being lower since I usually just play for fun. It's nice to look at something pretty haha.

Wow... that is a little bad for the peaple on the forums, performance wise. But think about it! I have the worst rig of the entire UOF community and it's a desktop. I would run 40-60fps on lowest settings/resolution on ALY. 10-20 on max settings. And you are running a laptop that's better than my PC! don't think your rig is bad util you see what I got lol. I'm still content with this old thing.

O and Quaal, I'm glad to see you're posting frequently around the forums. In a few days you almost posted more than TIPPER did in his whole time here, and he's been here for a few months. Anyway I'm just glad we are starting a community here, sort of.

Hehe :)

THX M8 for your encouragements :D

I'm around 75% done about the lighting now. The tough part is the shock area & the lift area beside the tights.

The atmosphere is completely different. It's amazing what lighting, music can do :)

haha thanks rathalos. Wow, your computer is pretty slow! hahaha. I'll remember if you can run my maps I'll be happy.

I enjoy posting on this forum. Everyone seems interested in making levels and people post quite often. It's nice :)

Excited to see the new map also stevelois. Yeah, lighting and music make a huge difference.

Yeah, this is the most busiest forum of all lol Others are pretty inactive (Epic, BU, L4Y & GOW).

I notice a prob with my GF9800 GT, after 1 min in flyby, it hang like 25 secs and going back to normal. After, it start to do that every "x" secs. I have no idea but I think it's an isolated issue because last night I got an error about my GPU & after rebooting it solve the prob.

It's funny because I'm also exited....... but it's my own map LOL First time I have that feeling about my own work LOL

THX m8 :)

Nano was a looooonnnnnnnnnnnnn--------....----nnnnnnng map to make & I expect peops to like it. But it's a medium map & I do like smaller maps a bit (6-12 players). Playing with 6 players in such a map is to boring, it's like trying to found mouses in a garage lol

I'm happy most players like my maps so far.

For the night version, I'll try to add some leaves & barrels floating in water (this was something I wanted to make in the day version as well) if I can found some tuts about that subject :)

THX for your interest dude ;)

I really liked Aly, but If I had to rate your maps the order would be.

1. Nano
2. Station 12
3. Aly

I love em all but some childs deserve love more than others lol. Just an oppinion.

Ho, well, I'm surprise you like Station12 better than Aly. If your rig can run it as smooth as mine Aly-NE is looking much better than the day version imo (more UT feel).

I guaranty nothing but I may publish a 1.1 version to enhance some things. I just saw some very small things I didn't notice the last time. Or maybe release a pack with both of them, dunno yet.

After messing around with the night version, I decide to update some things in the day version.

A 1.1 version will be release not to long after the night version. So if you have some things you would like to see me add or fix, it's the time to suggest them.

Sure m8, I'll make another thread on Epic for the final but I want you folks to have it first biggrin

If everything is ok, I'll publish the final next week-end. 2 weeks of hard work for this edition is enough in my book smile

Lighting in this version as never satisfied me so I'm gonna work on it.

Also add some few torches on fire like the 'NE' here & there but no dynamic lights this time.

I rework lot's of things in the day version. While I compare the "old" 1.0 version & this one, now I'm satisfied biggrin

This is the change log :

. Tweak culling & collisions values on big rocks outside the play area.
. Tweak lightning in general. It's more blueish than before, a subtle change & also change some settings on mesh / materials.
. Tweak postprocessing effect of the map in general (Bloom, DOF, etc).
. Tweak water postprocessing volume (Udamage pool & deadly waterfall).
. Add blocking volume near the Sniper, the Stinger, the Shock, the lift near the helmet & from the RL weapon base location to the helmet to enhance flow.
. Add custom barrels & other visual stuff.
. Remove all lanterns & replace them with torches / torches holders & all torches as there own fire sound & will inflict 5 points of damage. There isn't as many torches as the NE version. Only half of them to add some colors / contrast.
. Remove the glass on the floor in the RL building so you can shoot trough.
. Open up the small wall near the Bio to enhance gameplay.
. Replace stock jumpad (the default one as a default sound) with the 'mute' one (no default ambient sound).
. Redone sky dome material.
. Redone preview screen.

Since lot's of you like my fire emitter, I add a couple of them but not as many as the NE so hopefully FPS shouldn't be to much affected smile

I finally release the 1.1 version.

& as suggested, I switch all pickups around to bring something new & interesting. I didn't mind to do so because the Night Edition as the same pickup placement as this old version so I have both pickups layout & better looking maps biggrin

I expect all mirrors to upgrade to the 'SE' but I keep this thread here & on Epic as a "souvenir" for my works & the great comments you had provide me along the way smile
