I purchased this via Steam last friday for $25 Australian ($19.99 American rrp). http://www.shatteredhorizon.com/ Checkout the vids on the site!!
Best described, the game is counterstrike in zero-grav!
Game is a hell of a lotta fun as you fly around in thruster powered space suits in zero-grav in either traditional DM or 'capture/defend the objective' based games. You can 'lock' onto any surface and walk around which also gives you a better aim as well. The zero-grav environment brings a whole new element to the fps genre and can be very disorentating until you get used to it.
Currently there is only one weapon (which keeps everyone on a level playing field) with 3 different types of grenades. Seems a bit strangled with only one weapon but the grenades are very useful and the lack of gravity keeps things constantly interesting.
Being a futuremark product the gfx are hot and the levels themselves are very well designed! Some of the backdrops are the best I've seen in any space themed FPS game especially the shattered moon backdrop!
There's a few servers out there but most are empty, however, everytime I've jumped on for a game there's always been one low ping server that has a good amount of players on it and players are constantly joining throught the rounds I've played it. Apparently they're working on more content for the game which be free to download.
System Req: It's a DirectX10 game so you'll need Vista or Win7!! You should be fine with any quad core CPU and Gtx260/rad 4870 or older gfx SLi setups. You can also go here to check your system: http://www.yougamers.com/gameometer/10360/
Final word....if you want to play something very very interesting and at a very good price give it a shot!
looks really good ; ilke the "3d" moove and why not one unique gun to balance all haha ....for the game it self ...what a flying monkey thing! might have to give it a go ;)
I have a spare guest pass for this game! The guest pass will allow someone to play the game for free for 3 days only. The timer starts when you initiate the download apparently. The game is about 1.2gig in size!
1st person who replies to this thread, and is running Vista or Win7 with a good gfx (DX10 compatible) setup and has steam installed can have the guest pass. To test your system for game compatibility go here SH Test .
Respond here 1st (to make sure everyone knows that you've got it) then PM me your steam account name (or email address used in steam).

hey mick, if i install steam is there a way to use it only for shattered horizons and to keep all my ut installs out of steam? i m really interrested but i dont want steam on ma ut :p
i just have buy it....and i have 3 invites too lol^^ if someone is interrested i can send too :) (after mick have finshed his invites reservs of course :p)
hey mick srry to be off theses dayz but my mouse is dead and i m currently using a crappy 2 button ACER one, i had to send back the NOVA to the shop to get a new :) cant wait to try an unbugged one; the last was fine for games but pure hell in editor ,it had mini"cuts" on drag grid: when u moove an actor it unselect it and select and unselected several other ones on the way of the mouse...big salading tool :p
the game have now off line bot support....mean u finally can train a lil and not get dispatched as soon as u join a server, the mooving system with 360° orientable landing surface & "ground" is not so easy to handle...for me at least one of the more inovative game imo and still a visual asskick!
