hey mates my wife just have change her Classical Asus LCD lappy for a LED (Light Emitting Diodes)
i m really impressed by the quality of the result; more colors; more details; better contrasts and no more that feeling of "not enough light" that i always had with classicals lcd the "angle " to have a perfect view is more open and no need to face the screen with the same precision to have decent result ...
the power reserv have jump from 2.30 hours to 4 because ...less energy consumption
no doubts no more for me LCD/LED definitivly kick the butt of classical LCDs !...imho ;)
yes mate more i watch it more i see the differences:the colors are more deep and the dark is abyssal compared to old one we was abble to display same images with computers close one to eachother and it really jump to eyes......new one is 15" and old one was 17"....but even if i prefer biggest screenz here i vote for the 15" led !
othe funny thing : i have try ut2004 on 15" and here too no doubts it s really easier to hit each time on smaller screen....i bet that the hit box is smaller on biggest screenz and that it dont enlarge proportionaly with the size of the screen
it s so amazing aiming that i m gonna try that later online for the fun(no way to compare the fluidity and the details with a 22" of course!)
the economy of energy is great thing too; should be around 40% if it s proportionnal to the autonomy time....no hesitation....hm...perhaps the price....but not for us lol...we bough it and the seller told it was old classical LCD....what a good surprises to have "outboxed" a LED model...muhaha ;)

Do research on LED TV's b4 you buy. There are different LED configurations. 1. Edge Lit LED TV's. THe LeDs are only around the edges 2. Grid LED. THere's a grid across the panel which lights up(and dims) in sections. 3. Localized grid LED. Same grid but only the LED's that are affected by the current image differences are used.
Basically if you go LED tech you really want a localized grid otherwise you're getting ripped off as companies will lure you with the LED name but give you a half arsed product that isn't much better than some LCD TV's out there. I recommend Samsung TV's, Series 7 upwards. Samsung TV's pretty much do everything from series 6+ I have a series 7 with a wireless adapter and are extrelmy happy with it!!
Series 8 and 9 I believe are LED TV's, but only 9 have the localized grid...and are the most expensive. I could be wrong with this info but as I stated do research on the TV you plan to buy 1st.
