Sorry I messed up that post. Yes it was good, actually it was great. There has been only 1 or 2 parts of a scene which I didn't like much but overall I'd rate it with 8 or 9 out of 10.
I also recommend watching it in 3D at the cinema as it's helping a lot to sell the impression of weightlessness and outer space.
Watched Rush today at the theatres, it's a Formula 1 film based on a true story. Now I don't like watching Formula 1 at all, very boring sport. But this movie is a must watch!
@Gravity, I was not impressed by the trailers but I'm sure it's a great movie, unfortunately my friends usually don't go for that kind of movie so I will be seeing it at home when it's out on Bluray :)
Shame, I've have not seen one movie in the theatres that used 3D the right way. Had to see Avatar in 2D cause we didn't have 3D cinema in my small town back then. And Hugo Cabret I missed cause I thought it was a childrens movie :P

I have see the trailer, and it looks great, Ron Howard is a great director, so I'm sure it worth to be view.
About gravity, it's pretty unknow in france actually, I have to watch the trailler ;)
For folk looking for a rather interesting 8 part TV miniseries to watch, checkout "Les revenants": English - 'The Returned' (or Rebound). It was made by our French speaking brothers so you Frenchie friends of mine can watch it without subtitles! (if you haven't already seen it) IMDB: here
Plot Summary: The Returned opens in a small mountain community which is rocked to its core when several local people who are presumed dead suddenly re-appear at their homes. Despite having passed away some years earlier, these ghostly characters appear in human form, they have not aged, and they are completely unaware of their own fatality. Determined to reclaim their lives and start over, they slowly come to realize that they are not the only ones to have been brought back from the dead. Their return augers torment for their community when a series of gruesome murders bear a chilling resemblance to the work of a serial killer from the past. This is a homecoming like no other.
I very much enjoyed watching it and highly recommend it!

Intersting to see some french series exported and appreciated on others contries because the french TV is full of US series and don't let too much place for local production.
This serie is actually played on a french private and paying tv channel named Canal+, who is the only channel who cast (and produce) some good french series even if I'm not myself an addict to series.

héhéhé.....i m like Seb , not a big serie addict.....but my wifey is!....as she was mad of the "game of throne" "ending she was happy to have something fresh to land on.....i watched the 3 first parts with her and i must admit that it s well done with a deep weird athmo( mainly the music n sounds part imo)....a lil too slow to my tastes but pleasant to watch
@Seb: Streaming sites!!!... the first season is there
Gravity release date is pretty different in certain countries. Some have to wait until nov or dec, for you french people it's one more week. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1454468/releaseinfo
Bl!tz: Yes, veeery long time I haven't been here. But finally I have done the graduation and now I have time for things I neglected before. I'm fine, thanks for asking, and how are you Bl!tz? Still playing UT3 or UT2004? I promise you I will visit UOF more often

UT2004 forever. The one and only game that has special place in my life.
cool mate, yeah i m still kicking some arses on morpheusIII from time2time but all the familiars are gone .....kicking newbies butts isnt as fun as real challenges......not much UT3 theses times....i just cant find populated servers with decent ping....i m sure we ll find a moment to share some shock combos
the more often i play Hawken theses days...very fun n free beta....u should try it, mech FPS,fair pings,dodges.....airdodges....and more important.....completly unrealish!!
yeah bro, the map is called "Last Eco", the game improoved a lot visually and lot of new stuff have been added:
-all maps completly revamped with more colors and effects
-new interface, more efficient and eyecandy
-new meshes, each with a new special ability: fe last one is predator, completly crazy with predator vision & invisibility...+ lot of lil sounds from the movie in bkground when u choose this mech
-new items, skins, customisations...
2 major patches have been applied with massive server browser problems....(quite fixed now) "ascension" first and yesterday "invasion"
the game is mainly focused on DM & TDM (at least both have success), several others game modes like invasion, siege, assault and even offline TDM trainning...each mech is specific with special abilities and lacks....heavy but slow....fast but light armor..repairing abilities but light weapons (needs to be cover by your mate while repairing em)..and each one is taking part in TDMs..the top thing is that u can change mech each time you die and addapt it to your team needs...DM is nice too but requires high skills to survive....what can i add....this game have one problem....maps arent that "exotic" , mainly industrial themes.... i d like to see space , ruins, lava and such
hats off for this indian cheap and free game, never thought i could be so impressed by the amount of work ,unexpected problems n peeps involved in the creation of a mech FPS through alpha ,closed beta and very open beta.....just insane!!
oh....i forgot to tell...my kids have been offered a console for their "cumuled" B-Days: XBox360 with 4 games, i m temped to jump on the occasion to let a lil comment on each:
Halo4: waoo....sure GFX have improved since Halo1 & 2....still no jump...??+.+...but nice athmo and good memories, i ll probably try to finish this one, family is already bored after a serie of undiscutable asskicks in assassin modes ....i m not sure if i want to pay to play online....WHAT A TRAP!!! good game imo from what i saw
Forza motorsport4: i still cant believ that i ve put my hands on THE game with the "ferrari licencing", nice game, very good feelings and yeah to me, better than the gran turismo serie (cant really compare though , i only played GT on the ps2), i ll probably never finish the carrier but i ll grab for sure some of my "monument" cars and i ll have fun....funny thing noone here home except me like to desactivate "the brake help" option...this *** completly fake the drive!
GTA5: wow...here too GFX are updated! what a blast! , the town , the cars, the missions, sure i like and my kids are crazy with this one (my wife too btw^^) and where i like to grab a truck they spend hours to jump on ladys, dogs and overkill em....lol....so much hate....hopefully they dont play hawken ...
split/second: lol....wtf is this??? not my cup of tea, arcade as possible....supermario with real cars...and explosives instead of bananas....no way...my son played two hours and tryed GTA....and ...never came back to this one ...
TBH i watched a lot to make me an opinion ....played a couple of hours to get the feel...but... no doubt....PC rulZZZZZZ !!!!
*sigh*
The dilemma with UT3 Unreal Ed:
Additive maps crash a lot. I need an additive map.
Rebuilds: Bugged/crash; Moving stuff: Crash; Saving: Crash; Placing stuff: Crash; Breathing: Crash.
What the....
The problem:
Autosaves: Disturbing workflow as hell, provoking loss of meshes (because when you move them when it pauses to save you have a nice time trying to find it) and cause crashes of the editor once saved (not always, but sometimes, sometimes also with corrupted autosaves).
No Autosaves: Random crashes in editor (whatever you do, it may crash at any time), if you forgot to save due to intense work spent on something => Progress lost. Just happened... *sigh*
finaly tryed GOW3 on XBox 360 after all thoses years...not sure i ll try to find GOW 1&2 after this....aflicted.....no serious aiming (lol.... so much blood everywhere that it s like aiming with crappy glasses....+ that gow tremendous dot and that fraqn controller...)...ROFL at the voice of personages...retarded peeps? or perhaps it s just the french version....the story is hm....cant find the right word here... how this have taken UT place no idea....but tbh if players prefer playing this kind of game i m not sure to understand why...
i tryed borderland2 and duke nukem on Xbox (i played both on pc previously) and yeah i find em more fun with the controller as they arent meant to be pure FPSs...
last one i grabed is ace combat assault horizon.... what a FAIL! .....if u played some previous opus on PS2 like i did.....nothing really improved except cinematics....the world/ground is still in 2d....just horrible......even the planes controls i found better in GTA5....you cant even roll a barrel on the sides now....incredible flop
i d like to try UT3 on it...is there a way to install custom stuff ? or was it only ok on ps3? cant remember to hear about xbox conversions....
xbox only had some of the CBP3 packs iirc. This was due to Micro$oft being heavily restrictive on what they'd allow on their platform.
The PS3 though was a case of install whatever you want.
Nah what these instructions do is they tell the gfx card to always render to the screen at your monitors natural resolution however the 'back end' gfx are rendered at the l33t high custom resolution that you've set. It's kind of like manual AA except AA usually only renders edges of 3d objects whereas this method renders everything at that ultra rez then down samples it to your monitors native rez. BF4 looks very very nice running at 3200x1800 down sampled to 1920x1080! Had to turn off in-game AA though as my 660Ti's were struggling at that resolution.
It appears that older games get nice benefits from this method! Give it a try Mate!

LPS that was some kind of a misunderstanding. I know what downsampling is and I've been already using it. In fact my pc hardware magazine of choice is praising this technique since many years.
What I'm saying is that not every 1920x1080 monitor can handle 3840x2160 downsampling. Just like my own which is fine with a 1,5x downsampling factor (2880x1620) but not 2x.
playing this i feel like a chicken sended in ze space with a F22 firing me....cant handle this speed and ping for now....shame because it feels good....but so short :D

Ahh kk!
I am fortunate with my BenQ 2040HD(or whatever it is). It seems to be able to cope with downsampling 3840x2160 at 60h refresh. Tried Hawken and the Next Car Game alpha at that rez and both ran very nicely...and looked good too.
I seem to have really strange issues with UT2004. Whenever I try to join a server, it just crashes. However, some servers just... work. And the log is the most useless thing ever in this weird case: It just aborts randomly. It is absolutely not clear what is causing it.
I tried a fresh install - didn't work. I tried to remove the dot from my name - didn't work. This is... really confusing. Especially since Instant Action works just fine. Anyone of you had that issue before?
Thanks for trying, Blitz. Until now still no results from my end either.
It's interesting that this happens on all of the UTzone servers (tried to join a small playing session and unfortunately couldn't even spectate it with a fresh install) but also some other random servers. Some work, some don't. Maybe it's a mutator... or a server-actor causing this...
I know they use a special decal server actor projecting the logo of UTzone on specific spots on certain maps - I wonder if that could have caused this. But then again, it's basically a projector and I never had issues with those. Or maybe it is related to UTcomp or things alike... I really don't know.
Maybe I'll get in contact with some people on UTzone again and ask if they can do me a favour and remove mutators, then slowly readd them to one server... I hope to get this fixed.

Euro Truck simulator 2: badly addictive when supposed to be quickly boring....big game with nice visuals & the opportunity to visit europa (simplified of course) and to drive for fun :D
Blitz... We both know, that you know, that we all know, that we need this... eh... "game"? That trailer, it made me rofl!
haha .....sure bro....i posted this two days ago on FB....my kids are crazy with it.....hopefully it s not ready even if already for sale....it saved my EARS !!!....omg.....i want to keep em some years more.... (it saved my money on the same way )
crazy and funny trailer..... it can be fun and refreshing
Oh snap, I think my (cheap) mouse is slowly dying after a decade of usage. Left clicks and mouse wheel suddenly tend to react twice at times.
Maybe I can fix it..... I doubt I can get a cheap mouse of this quality nowadays and from what I saw, gaming gear is TERRIBLE regarding longlivity. :X
