I actually like watching these types of videos being primarily a FPS player. That was a good match indeed, but it took me a little bit of time to realize they were switching player views.
That said, I always find it funny the simplicity of some of the "graphics" and player models for competitive gaming.
I don't agree about the settings though. You're not doing this to increase FPS but to improve you gameplay. Nothing to take ones mind off, no detailed textures or other fancy stuff - simply reduced to the very essential parts.

oh sure but i just cant get rid of ut...quite obsessive i know :D bout the speed i tryed a german games some years ago...sauerbraten or something like that...that was the speedest i saw...quite too much though :p
not seen anything like that it have it s own system, it only display the quake live icon to show to othas that u re playing it but no external server support, i wonder if even gametraker or qtraker can do it...will try later to verify
