Shame !!!

All those games don't support almost wheels, plus, they don't allow key binding, it's totally crap !

WRC FIA 2010 is the just the worst game I have tested, bad graphic, several bugs everywhere, alt+F4 to quit the game (lol), no almost wheels support, and they sell that s*** 60 euros... furious

I've actually had some fun playing Blur with friends, could have been better balanced though. Every single time one of us took the lead by a few seconds there's no way to get pass, everyone constantly picks up the homing red missile thingy so whoever is placed 2nd can't fire much at nr 1 since nr 3 is constantly firing homing red missiles and nr 2 has to spend most pickups on avoiding homing red missiles, whenever nr 2 manages to get anything on nr 1 he has something to defend with.

Still definitely one of the best LAN driving games, I probably like Flatout 2 the most though. It's crazy fun and you can make it less repetive by playing 50% normal races and 50% derby, extra points for having a schoolbus/prison bus/military bus as a playable car. Supports up to 8 players in LAN, the more players you are the funnier it gets, although there's almost always someone who'll never be good enough to fight for top3.

I have been getting into World Rally Car racing the last year or so. I used to play Gran Tourismo 3 and once I started on the rally courses, I preferred them over the tarmac ones.

I was thinking of getting the new WRC game, but I still have a lot to finish on DIRT 2. I don't play a lot of racing games, but DIRT 2 is really nice. It has a mix of rally, circuit, and point to point (non rally style). There are many races to finish and cars to buy.

The graphics are really nice (DX 11) and it supports Eyefinity, which is nice on 3 22" monitors. It supports many wheels and you can customize the key bindings.

It's really my type of racing game because it does many type of "off-road" racing. I think there is a demo for it too?

+1

definitly the best rally game actually ;)

I play it since many month off/online and I still have fun with it ;)
the bad point is the small content (not enough variety of tracks for my tast)
And yes, the wheels support is really good ;)

The cars I like to drive is :

Ford escort for rally
RS200 for rallycross
Dallenbach for bolid

If some of you guys play it online, it will be cool to make a race ;)
my user name is UTNOVA ;)

just have installed F1 2010..........ROFL....it crash & freeze like an antonov each 10 minutes

the menu is complex and it take u 5 full minutes to sit in ur car; lot of blah blah blah and no direct access to the race

windows live required

ok the feeling in game: probably the more fun F1 game i ve tryed so far...not too hard and very good feeling/sensations about the driving aspect....an arcade side though which cant hurt purists...visually tip top on max settings

I 'aquired' F1 2010 from a mate. ..I think the NFS series has killed my old passion for sim games. I had no performance or glitches with it but found the game very boring. Plus Bl!tz is correct..you wait ages between races which was a major pain. I lasted about 30 minutes before I decided to put it to rest.

The Steering wheel issue is definately a major WTF issue atm.....

If ya want a good 'crazy fun' racing game get "Burnout Paradise City". The old Burnout games were the best, and most fun, racing games on the PS2/3. Fortunately Paradise City is on the PC and keeps a lot of the old Burnout action (well except Crash junctions, which is a big shame) making this a very fun racing game.

I'm happy to report that Criterion(who make the Burnout series) are making the latest NFS game so I'd very much looking forward to playing it in a month or two! thumbsup.gif
...pls NFS has always supported a wheel so hopefully this won't change...

thx mick ; i ll try this burnout paradise for sure; looks very fun wink.gif

about F1 2010...lol...i just figured out what happened (freeze while loading race with AI)

while checking the inis i found a "hardware_settings_restrictions.xml "file which determinate which cores & how many should work on this or that
the game is not ready for 6 cores and there s only sections/instructions for 2/3/4/8 cores CPUs
i googled "6 cores freezes F1 2010" and hop here is the fix^^

http://forums.gametrailers.com/thread/f1-2010-freezes-during-loading/1125447

....not tryed it yet because i quite lost interrest for such anotha "beta" game :p
