Your favorite old games

I saw Lord's post about the older games. I thought I would make a thread where you can post your all time favorite games of all freaking time!

A game does not need to be new or exciting to be awesome! My favorite games are all from many years ago and by todays standards are crap. But they are always awesome to me, and they are timeless.

Once upon a time... There was a young boy by the name of Ryan who had never heard of a computer. What is a computer? Hell, I didn't know. I was 6 maybe 7, Why should I care? Instead I had a Super nintendo Entertainment System. I called it a Super NES. I found out maybe two years later what the NES stood for.

As Ryan (Yes I am telling this in the third person; Deal with it) waited every christmas he got new game cartridges. Zelda- a link to the past, Space Invaders, Metroid; They were all great, but only one game could be the best; MEGAMAN X!!! I, err, I mean Ryan loved this game more than any other. In a years time I had beaten it so many times. Only god knows how many... He could dismember each and every of the 8 bosses in any order with or without using special abilities. Man this game was sweet!

A few years later I received a PlayStation for Christmas (It was actually for my brother, but what did I care. I played it anyway because my Mom made us share and for all we cared it belonged to both of us) It was a whole year until we actually got a good game for the beast of a gaming system. This is still to this day My favorite game franchise ever. I got Digimon World for christmas. This game was based off crappy Television shows but man was it sweet. I still beat the game at least once a year. It's still such a great RPG.

The following year we found used copies of Digimon world 2 and digimon world 3. They were just as good as the first. The games were not sequels, but in fact different stories all together. It's like how Final Fantsay has so many games that have nothing to do with each other but the title. All three games were RPGs but each were different style of RPG. The first was real time monster battles. The second was turn bases up to 3 on 3 monster battles. The third was a dungeon crawler / turnbased. These games still rock.

But my favorite game of all time is still one of the most beloved games ever (Besides Tetris, but that games cool too) This game sucked more change from my pocket at arcades than any other. MARVEL VS CAPCOM 2!!!!!

You can't deny that MVC2 is awesome but I want to hear what your fav games are...
